Case Management

Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment Program (CPST)

The Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment Program is a Case Management Service that is provided to clients, youth or adult, who have a diagnosed mental health disorder. All Empowered for Excellence’s programs provide treatment in their own environment, including in homes, schools, or other community locations, as clinically indicated. This service is designed to help clients with mental health difficulties reduce or manage their symptoms so that they experience less emotional and behavioral distress and maximize their abilities to manage life’s daily stressors and challenges. This is not a type of counseling; however, counselors or clinical therapists may also provide these types of services in addition to the counseling.

Inidivdual Therapeutic Behavioral Health Services (TBS)

Individual TBS services are interventions focused on planning and providing interventions to build skills and maintain or improve daily social functioning, activities of daily living, and coping with stressors and symptoms. They can be performed with the individual in services and/ or to families, collateral supports, or other caregivers to improve and coordinate care. They must be completed face- to- face.

Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR)

PSR services are individual interventions that build skills and maintain or improve daily social functioning, activities of daily living, and coping with stressors and symptoms. These differ from TBS services in that they do not include planning services and are focused completely on daily skill development.

This program aims to provide treatment that supports each client in making choices for themselves to promote their own recovery. Clients are engaged as valuable decision makers in the treatment process; frequency and modalities of treatment are determined with the client’s input and are based on each individual client or family’s strengths, needs, assets, and goals.

This program embraces the rights of the individual and always seeks to avoid interventions encouraging reliance or dependence on a professional to guide the individual’s recovery. Clients are encouraged to participate in advocacy groups and support groups unique to each client’s needs and symptoms.
